Topaz is a hosted business phone system: users and extensions, desk phones and softphones, numbers, ring groups, office hours, auto-attendant, voicemail and call history in one Control panel.
One Control panel
Manage everything at app.topaz.tel. The SmartPBX app covers day-to-day setup, and the Advanced Callflows editor is there when you need custom routing.
People and phones
Give each person a user and an extension: they can call from their browser with the Topaz Softphone straight away. Connect any standard SIP desk phone or softphone app too, and give a user more than one device if they need it. Admins manage the account; other users only use their phones and their own profile.
Numbers and routing
Pick a local US or Canadian number by area code when you sign up. Send calls to a person, a ring group or an auto-attendant, with different routing for office hours, after hours and holidays.
Voicemail and call history
Every user can have a voicemail box. Call history shows every call, and your prepaid balance is shown in the Control panel.
All features included
No platform, per-user or per-device fees. You pay for calls and phone numbers from prepaid credit (numbers are $10 a month each, or from $4 a month prepaid), and can add channels for unlimited US & Canada calling.
Built on Kazoo
Topaz runs on Kazoo, an open-source cloud telephony platform. Developers and AI agents can run the phone system with the topaz command-line tool: see Developers & agents.
Early access
Topaz is in early access. You can call the US and Canada, phone numbers are US and Canadian, and 911 is not supported. See Availability.
