Forward your existing number

Keep your current phone service and send the calls you choose to Rinzo.

Why forward first

You do not have to move your number to try Rinzo. Keep your current phone service and forward calls to your Rinzo number: all of them, only the ones you miss, or only after hours. Your customers keep dialling the number they know, and you can turn forwarding off at any time. Porting the number to Rinzo is a later step, by request.

Three ways to forward

All calls: every call to your old number rings your Rinzo number, where your receptionist, your team or your routing takes it. Busy and no answer: your phone rings first; a call you do not pick up within a few rings, or while you are on another call, goes to Rinzo instead of your carrier voicemail. After hours: turn forwarding on when you close and off when you open, or use a provider schedule where one exists. Most small businesses start with busy and no answer.

How to set it on your phone

Forwarding is a feature of your current provider, not of Rinzo. On a mobile, it is under the phone app’s call settings (Call forwarding on Android; Settings › Phone › Call Forwarding on iPhone, which forwards all calls only). On a landline or office line, your provider gives dial codes: in North America *72 to forward all calls and *73 to cancel is common, with separate codes for busy and no-answer forwarding, but codes differ by provider, so check with yours. Forward to your full Rinzo number with the area code.

Test it before you rely on it

From another phone, call your old number and check each case: a call you answer still rings you; a call you do not answer reaches Rinzo and not your old voicemail; a call while you are busy reaches Rinzo; the receptionist greets the caller and your test message or transfer arrives where you expect. Then check your provider’s bill once: some providers charge for forwarded calls, and that charge is theirs, not ours. A forwarded call arrives at Rinzo as an ordinary inbound call to your number and uses your included minutes, then the call rate.

Caller ID and voicemail

A forwarded call usually shows the original caller’s number, so the receptionist takes the right callback number and your call history is useful. If your old voicemail still answers first, shorten the number of rings before forwarding, or lengthen the no-answer delay at your provider. Rinzo cannot change settings at your provider.

Providers we have verified

We publish a provider here only after a real forwarded call has been tested end to end with that provider. None are listed yet. Tell us which provider you use (support@rinzo.ai) and we will test it with you during setup.

Moving the number later

Porting an existing number is available by request (email support@rinzo.ai). How long a port takes depends on your current provider, so keep that service active until your number works on Rinzo. Phone numbers & porting
